The NCOA ( National Council on Aging) states that regular exercise can help older adults stay independent and prevent many health problems that come with age.Experts recommend that older adults engage in moderate exercise for at least 30 minutes five days a week and muscle-strengthening activities for two or more days a week that work all major muscle groups.

The Mayo Clinic states that strength training helps preserve and enhance muscle mass at any age. Muscle mass diminishes with age and strength training can help to build back muscle mass as well as increasing your metabolism and help manage your weight.

I am certified and have been involved in weight training and nutrition for my entire life. I am proud to offer my services to the Greater Naples Area Seniors Community. I always recommend that you speak with your doctor prior to engaging in any fitness regime. I will show you how to use proper techniques to help reduce the risk of injuries and reap the benefits from the exercises you incorporate.

Body weight exercises are easily adaptable to a person's mobility and current strength. Approached wisely, strength training can become the superstar of your workout routine. Chances are you will be so happy with your results, you will want to continue crunching and squatting for many years to come.

Landing here means you want to know a bit about me. I love what I do and sincerely wish to help as many fellow seniors as possible.

I have had a passion for resistance training (weightlifting) since I was 12 years old. I first saw people training
at the YMCA and was fascinated. Resistance training and physical conditioning have been a part of my life ever since.

I won a scholarship to Michigan State University and played on a team in 1966 that was undefeated and won the Big Ten and UPI National Championships. I was 1st Team All Big Ten. Most important, I have been able to stay strong and maintain my body weight throughout the years.

I started Naples Seniors Fitness to help other seniors add lean muscle mass ( It's Never Too Late) and improve their lives.

I am a ISSA Certified Seniors Fitness Personal Trainer and Nutritionist. Nutrition is very important and compliments your fitness training and your life.

You can train no matter what your current physical condition (Doctor Approved). It is possible to complete an entire workout sitting in a chair. I stress safety, good form and a non-intimidating environment. I offer affordable rates and packages. I will meet you at the gym or your home.
